Nicolas Francois


Born 1977, in Metz, France.

Nicolas Francois began his university career in Metz, where in 2001 he was awarded a master’s degree in private law.

As a Legal Adviser to the Moselle CAPEB (Confédération des Artisans et petites Entreprises du Bâtiment - Confederation of Artisans and Small Construction Businesses) from 2001 to 2003, he practised employment law, tax law, company law, insurance law, debt recovery and matrimonial law, and worked on implementation of the 35-hour working week.

In his capacity as editor of a legal information bulletin, he was responsible for both the design and lay-out.

Between 2003 and 2004 he was a student at the Nancy Law Faculty, where he achieved a Postgraduate Diploma (DESS) in Medical, Pharmaceutical and Dental Corporate Law.

As part of his postgraduate programme, from April to June 2004 he completed an internship with “Les Etudes Hospitaliers” in Bordeaux, where he provided written legal advice on public medical law and hospital public service law.

From March to November 2005, he worked for Pacifica, a legal expenses insurance company, in Rouen.

As a Legal Counsel, he was responsible for managing and monitoring legal cases in areas covered by legal expenses contracts (accommodation, consumers, employment, administrative law, civil liability, etc.), and specialised in employment and social security law.

From 2006 to 2007 he took Supplementary Courses on Luxembourg Law at the University of Luxembourg.

In 2008 he joined Dupong, Krieps, Du Bois & Dias Videira as a lawyer.

Spoken and written languages: French and English; basic Spanish, German and Luxembourgish.
